By now we are all done stuffing our bellies with Thanksgiving food and are now stuffing our brains with information for finals.  We fill the library and study rooms to cram for tests in hopes for a passing grade.  The staff at Welshimer Library, however, provide many opportunities for students to take a break and de-stress in the midst of the craziness of finals week.

 Therapy Dogs

The Welshimer Library will be hosting three therapy dogs on Monday, Dec. 5, and Wednesday, Dec. 6.  Indy, Lily and Rudy will be waiting to help students de-stress with tongues and tails wagging.  The dogs will be in the Welshimer room from 1-2 p.m.

 Kitten Cuddle Puddle

On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the Welshimer room will be full of kittens.  The kitten cuddle puddle is a favorite among Milligan students during finals week each year.  The cuddle puddle will be open from 1-5 p.m.  This event is sponsored by the occupational therapy department.

 Week-Long Activities

All finals week long, the library will provide coloring pages, bubble wrap and puzzles for students.  “We have dogs, kittens and bubble rap,” said Jude Morrissey, the user services librarian. “ What more could you need?”
