Phyllis Eversole started on at Milligan as the PA Program Clinical Secretary in July. As someone who has been connected with Milligan for many years, Ms. Eversole is excited to now represent Milligan as a member of staff, as she helps the students of Milligan’s new PA program through following up with clinical sites and inputting data into the program’s computer system.

Q: How did you get to Milligan?

A: “I graduated in 1987 as an English major and met my husband here. Our daughters went to school here, and we have a nephew here right now. After my husband and I got married, we moved back to the Midwest for a time, until we moved here for my husband to start his work at Boone’s Creek Christian Church– and then I started this job at the beginning of July.”

Q: What are you most excited for in your new position as Secretary for the Clinical Coordinator of the PA program?

A: “I’m excited about helping the students to represent Milligan well in the community. It’s an honor to work for Milligan and be a part of the mission of servant leadership. The school has done a lot for me and my kids, so it’s kind of an opportunity to give back. I can tell that a lot of preparation has gone into developing the PA program and I am thankful to be working with a really great team.”

Q: What’s stood out to you the most since arriving on campus?

A: “There seems to be a lot more growth of departments and programs since I was here as a student. Even the revamping of the Emmanuel buildings speaks to this growth.”

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: “Sing in the church choir, travel and explore the area, and spend time with my grandchildren.”

Q: What would you want someone to ask you about if they were trying to get to know you?

A: “I would want someone to ask me about my family, and my journey of faith. I think that your kids help you to mature and grow, and you learn to surrender and trust God– a lot of things are out of your control.”
