Aside from the three front-runner candidates, four votes were tallied for Milligan junior Adam Chapman, while Ron Paul received two votes. One student wrote "none of the above" on the ballot. Jesus, Steven Colbert and Keith Richards each earned one vote.
"I voted for Barack Obama because I like his platform, his health care platform," said junior Jon Hartman.
"I picked John McCain because I'm very pro-Republican," said junior John Feryus. "Even though he doesn't align with all of my views, he's better than the other candidates in the general election right now. He most closely aligns with the values that I hold for the leader of our country."
Many students did not vote because they did not like any of the candidates or did not feel educated enough to make a decision.
"I am still reading up on all the candidates and trying to decide who I think is the best one," said sophomore Holly Perdue. "I haven't really been too involved, but I hope to get more involved once school is over, and I will have more time."

Now that Obama and McClain have picked their VPs, things are looking better for McCain. Sarah Palin has a great history in politics.
