April 22, The Stampede held a mock presidential election to see how Milligan students would vote. One hundred and two Milligan students voted, and the results are in. John McCain received the most votes with 52. Barack Obama came in second with a total of 35, and Hillary Clinton tallied five votes.
Over 100 students, faculty, alumni and local residents attended an open discussion on homosexuality and Christianity in Wilson Auditorium April 23. According to publicity for the event, the discussion was held to "encourage people to think hard about how we approach homosexual individuals."
