Rebekah McNerneyEditor in Chief

Rebekah McNerney is a senior at Milligan and serves as the editor in chief for The Stampede. She is from Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where she grew up with three sisters. Rebekah is also a part of student government and the Goah diversity scholars. She is double majoring in multimedia journalism and political science, and after graduation she hopes to secure a position as a journalist specializing in politics and government. 


Evan HayesReporter

Evan Hayes is a sophomore from Memphis who wishes to help The Stampede in any way possible. He is a member of the Milligan track and Ffield team as a sprinter and plans to join more clubs as he continues at Milligan. He is a multimedia journalism major. He enjoys listening to music and staying active. After graduation, he hopes to go into the field of sports media.

Gabrielle (Gabby) Hinely is a freshman from Elizabethton. She is a major in multimedia journalism and minor in filmmaking, and hopes to produce documentaries in the future.

Miriam Zeise is a freshmen from Jena, Germany. She is a major in Biochemistry and part of the cycling team.


Professor Jim DahlmanAdviser

Professor S. J. Dahlman (AKA Jim) has been advising The Stampede and teaching journalism, creative nonfiction, and other courses since the turn of the century. He’s worked as a reporter, columnist, magazine editor, author, minister, and warehouse gopher. He’s married to Stacy, is a proud father and grandfather, and is the chief steward for two cats. He likes to be outdoors, work crossword puzzles, play with words, read good books and articles, and watch soccer (especially Liverpool).
