Spirit week returns at Milligan University, beginning Sept 27. This week allows students to show their support for athletic events at Milligan while also having a little fun.

A theme is presented each day this week that students are encouraged to dress up for. This includes meme Monday, tie-dye Tuesday, MU school color day, throw-back Thursday, and blackout Thursday. A sporting event also takes place every day highlighting mens and womens golf, soccer, and volleyball.

Along with the festivities, students also have a chance to win some prizes this year. Following each athletic event, students who attended can upload a picture to their instagram and will be entered into a drawing to win a Spirit Bundle. The bundle for Monday included a bluetooth speaker, a mouse pad, coasters, and a t-shirt, all of which were Milligan merch.

Junior Joey Falcone says that spirit week encourages him to show some love for his college.

“Spirit week at Milligan just reminds me of the unity we have as a diverse campus,” said Falcone. “There’s a lot of positivity, spirit, and support when it comes to Milligan and especially our sports team.”

Falcone encourages students to show their Milligan pride by joining in this week full of festivities and fun! Be sure to stay on the lookout for other campus activities happening this week including open mic night on Sept 30 and capture the flag on Oct 3.
