This year’s Wonderful Wednesday events included life-sized versions of two board games. The theme for Wonderful Wednesday was board games and coined the phrase“A Day in the LIFE of Milligan.”

The games available were Trouble and Battleship, and they were open for students from 12 pm-4 pm in the Hardin Hall parking lot.

In the game Trouble, the objective was to have your team reach the middle first. There were four teams red, blue, green and yellow.

For the life-sized version of Battleship, students would place themselves in different sized sleds positioned on opposite sides of a wall they couldn’t see over or around. The students would then try to throw a water-filled ball over the wall and try to get the opposing team’s members out by hitting them.

Freshman and SGA member Ashley Roberts helped run the game area throughout the day.

“I think this event gives students something fun to do that relates with the year’s theme in a more interactive way than if they played these games as board games,” said Roberts.

Senior Arianna Thompson played the life-sized version of Trouble and gave her thoughts after the game.

“It was fun because we got to use the big inflatable dice ball and I like how it fits the board game theme,” said Thompson.
