Milligan University’s music program hosted a student recital on Feb. 12 in Lower Seeger. Twelve students performed ten songs, ranging from classical violin performances to covering modern Disney songs.

Freshman Peyton Boling performed Randy Newman’s “When She Loved Me” from the Pixar movie “Toy Story 2.”

“If you’ve never been at a musical recital, it is a very supportive and diverse environment,” Boling said. “You get a little bit of everything with the recital, and you’re destined to hear something that you enjoy, but also maybe something you don’t really enjoy. Every piece may not be your personal favorite, but it exposes you to music you may have not heard prior to the recital, and that’s what makes it exciting.”

Around 40 people attended the recital, including family, students and professors.
