As Milligan prepares for the 2026–27 academic year, the university is welcoming new faculty
and staff members while recognizing promotions and role transitions among existing personnel.
The academic division will add several new full-time and visiting appointments across campus.
Kathleen Buttolph joins the faculty as visiting professor of theatre and artistic director of theatre,
while Dan Drage serves as visiting instructor of humanities and artist-in-residence for the fall
semester. The business department welcomes Ann Mahan as visiting professor of business
administration, and Emmanuel Christian Seminary welcomes Tyler Stewart as associate
professor of New Testament. Five adjunct faculty members are joining the instructional team:
Matthew Albritton in business administration, Brennan Allen and Jackie Laney in education,
Andrew Lawson in digital media and Jared Whittenbarger in nursing.
Several new staff members have joined the university in student life and campus operations.
Brad Camp assumed duties as head men’s soccer coach on May 1, while Emily Spell joined the
university as director of residence life on Aug. 15. Grace Taylor became director of campus
activities on Aug. 10, and Kimberlyn Chavez-Whitten began serving as seminary academic
services coordinator on July 7. Zach Hartley joined the university as groundskeeper on April 10,
and John Stephenson became director of physical plant on May 11. In admissions, Celisse
Lambert joined on Aug. 17 as an undergraduate admissions recruiter serving the Nashville area.
Several current faculty and staff members also are taking on new or expanded roles. University
Archivist Katie Banks has taken on additional responsibilities as interim director of libraries.
David Kiger has transitioned into a full-time faculty position as assistant professor of church
history at Emmanuel Christian Seminary, and Cindy Wymer has returned to a full-time role as
associate registrar. William (Billy) Munson is joining the faculty as visiting assistant professor of
sport and exercise science.
Administrative roles also have shifted. Kit Dotson now serves as special assistant to the president
for ministry initiatives. Brent Nipper holds the position of associate vice president of auxiliary
services and compliance, and Juan Villalba serves as interim dean of students. Chase
McGlamery now serves as director of campus safety and technical systems. Ben McCann joined
the marketing and public relations team as creative marketing specialist.
Milligan also welcomes recent graduates into staff and coaching roles. Hannah Burgess and
Spencer Hall have transitioned into full-time roles as undergraduate admissions recruiters, while
Blakelee Ollis joined as a business office receptionist. In athletics and student life, Neely Agnew
has joined the university as assistant swim coach, Kenzie Campbell returns part time as assistant
women’s basketball coach, and Marinda Walls serves part time as resident director for Hart Hall.
