My eyes stung with relief

As my head sunk into itself

And my hands experienced an earthquake.

I could not breathe, nor was I allowed to leave.

I was the mouse in your house.

For I was never invited in, but got there somehow.

And when I decided to leave,

I couldn’t seem to find where that little opening was anymore.

For the way I thought I had out was closed.

And I was stuck.

Stuck all together.

Somewhere that I was never welcomed.
