Women’s sports have made huge progress, but true equality is still unfinished at the Olympic level. Nordic combined remains a powerful reminder of how far there is still to go.
Milligan’s arts programs will present a wide range of music, theatre, film and visual arts events throughout the spring semester, featuring concerts, plays, exhibitions and student showcases. These events highlight student and faculty talent while offering opportunities for the campus and local community to engage with the arts.
Milligan plans to fully renovate Webb Hall during the 2026–27 academic year, updating the building while temporarily closing it and adjusting student housing across campus. The project is funded through donations, university funds and bonds, and officials say the renovation will be cheaper than building a new dorm despite some student concerns.
Milligan students earned second place in the Appellate Moot Court Collegiate Challenge and received multiple individual awards at Tennessee’s Intercollegiate State Legislature. They successfully argued cases, passed several bills, and gained valuable experience in law, government, and media.
Milligan’s disc golf A team won the Volunteer Throwdown at UT, finishing 17 under par, while the B team took second in Division II. Several Milligan players also earned top singles finishes, and the team will compete next at the Bluegrass Regional Qualifier on Feb. 21.
Milligan University’s men’s and women’s cross-country teams won the AAC Championships, marking the women’s sixth and men’s seventh consecutive titles. Ellen-Mary Kearney set a record breaking run and earned Women’s Runner of the Year, while several teammates and coach Chris Layne received conference honors.
Gabriel Logan, director of Student Success, Disability Services, and the Goah Scholars Program, resigned in October. The university has not disclosed details about his departure. Professor Richardson has since taken over his duties, while a town hall with President Waers is planned to discuss scholarships.

Milligan’s cycling team earned three top five finishes at the 2025 Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships. The team placed sixth overall, led by strong performances from Emma Clark, Cade Pummill, and Levi Cole.
