The Milligan Orchestra’s fall concert on Nov. 1 showcased a mix of Baroque, blues, and Broadway music. Students and faculty collaborated in performances that highlighted diverse musical styles and talent across campus.
Gabriel Logan, director of Student Success, Disability Services, and the Goah Scholars Program, resigned in October. The university has not disclosed details about his departure. Professor Richardson has since taken over his duties, while a town hall with President Waers is planned to discuss scholarships.
Milligan University performed its fall musical, Freaky Friday, from October 23–26 in the McGlothin-Street Theatre. Cast members including senior Ariana Floyd and fifth grader Reese Drayer said the show was a fun and valuable learning experience.
Commuters at Milligan may face challenges connecting but can build community by staying on campus and getting involved. With effort and patience, they can still feel at home.
Milligan University started its first Criminal Justice Club to bring together students interested in the field. The club will host events like museum visits and guest speakers to explore the criminal justice system.
Milligan’s career fair connected students with 24 businesses, mainly in finance and engineering, to explore jobs and internships. Some students found great opportunities, while others faced challenges due to their major or transportation.
SGA hosted a town hall to discuss program changes with students. This meeting allowed for students to ask questions regarding the changes. Six programs are being suspended in the upcoming future.
Milligan alumni and hip-hop artist, Terrence Gadsden, joined campus for Magness Lecture. He spoke in chapel that morning and later held a concert that night.
Milligan launches "Delight" for the second year in a row. They are inviting any women on campus to join the meetings on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Jeanes Room.
