The women’s soccer team is moving on to the Appalachian Athletic Conference semifinals after a 5-1 win over Bryan College at Anglin Field on Tuesday night.

Freshman Audra Morgan made a quick start, scoring the Buffs’ opening goal in the first minute. Senior Bekah Cundliff added another in the 32nd minute.

The fourth-seeded Buffs peppered Bryan early in the second half with three goals in three minutes, with two goals from Alyson McMillan (47th and 49th minute) bookending a score by fellow senior Dharma Fawbush.

Bryan gained a consolation goal on a penalty in the 61st minute.

The Buffs (11-4-1, 10-2-1 conference) will try to earn a place in the AAC final and a national tournament berth when they play at top-seeded Truett-McConnell on Saturday. Kickoff time is to be announced.
