Members of Milligan’s Cycling Team competed in The Battle of Sumter Forest on the 13th, a gravel race held in Clinton, South Carolina. Racers could register under various categories, with the majority of Milligan’s students choosing to compete under the Pro division.

The men competing under the Pro category finished well, with Junior Isaac Bryant standing out from the crowd. Bryant finished third overall amongst the thirty-nine Pro racers, with a finishing time of 3:15:03.

Milligan’s underclassmen also competed in the Pro Men’s division, with freshmen Brody McDonald and Elijah Johnson finishing 14th and 32nd respectively, and sophomore Eric Castillo coming in 34th place.

Our lady buffs raced hard, with sophomore Marjie Bemis finishing first amongst Milligan’s Women racers and fourth overall in the Women’s Pro category, with an end time of 3:36:04.

Fellow Sophomores Alyssa Barrick, Genevieve Plum and Hayley Barrick placed 19th, 21st and 23rd respectively.

Junior Laney Butt finished tenth overall in the Short Course 19-34 Women’s race.
