The women’s volleyball team’s performance in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) tournament secures the Buffs a spot in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship.

In the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament, Milligan upset the Union College Bulldogs 3-1. Carley Gregory had a career day posting 21 kills, and Taylor Pavich recorded a career high of 34 assists. Milligan then faced off against the Skyhawks of Pointe University. In a thrilling five set match, Milligan ultimately came away with a 3-2 victory, advancing them to the AAC Tournament final. The Buffs fell to Reinhardt University in the championship game with a score of 1-3. Julia Codispoti and Cameron McConnell made the alternate team for their efforts in the tournament.

The Buff’s runner-up finish means that they will compete in the NAIA National Championship. The tournament begins on Saturday, April 17, with final site dates set for Tuesday-Saturday, April 27 – May 1, in Sioux City, Iowa. More information regarding tournament details will be released in the following days.
