The “Luminal” Senior Design Showcase was held March 22-27 in the Milligan Art Gallery, located on the lower level of Derthick Hall. The exhibit featured art from Adam Bengtson, Spencer Hall, Joselin Martinez and Emy Rose Leggett, including projects from graphic design courses such as T-shirts and print designs.
The Student Government Association (SGA) hosted a faculty and staff talent show on March 26 in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre, also known as Gregory Auditorium. Performances included Kirsten Mudrack singing “Defying Gravity” and Brian Eisenback leading an interactive audience activity.
Milligan presented its first “Screen to Stage Cabaret” on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre. Directed by Professor Carhart, the performance featured music from “Dirty Dancing,” “Hercules” and “Ghostbusters,” among others.
The “At The Threshold” orchestra concert on April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium in Seeger Chapel. The concert will feature the Milligan University Concert Choir and guest groups from Elizabethton and David Crockett high schools. Admission is free and worth 1 SFP.
The “Intersection” Senior graphic design exhibit was presented this week April 12-18th. The opening display took place from 2-4 p.m. this past Sunday. This event showcases the work of Mary Grace Bitting, Ariana Floyd, Nathan McKissick, and Marnie Tallon with their individual and unique styles of design and creativity.
On April 24, the arts department will host a combined theater gala, film festival and arts, Theater and Communications Awards event. The program will include student film screenings and short theater performances.
