Everyone has heard of the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte (PSL), but have you ever had an apple crisp latte, s’mores cold brew or black pepper luna latte? You can find numerous takes on the PSL, but if you look further down the menu, you will find an array of unique fall-flavored drinks waiting for you to try.

Pumpkin Spice it Up

The Great Pumpkin Latte (Open Doors Coffeehouse):

“This is inspired by Charlie Brown, because we were like, what is the fall season without the Peanuts?” said Gary Ellis, the owner and operator of Open Doors Coffeehouse. “We took some pumpkin puree and added some decadent white chocolate with a dash of cinnamon to create a unique fall flavor, topped with some graham cracker dust, caramel and whipped cream. This isn’t your average PSL.”

Pumpkin SPICED Latte (The Moon Coffee and Tea House):

“This drink definitely stood out to me compared to other pumpkin spice lattes I have had,” said Abbie Page-Jones, an avid coffee drinker. “It brought all the vibes of fall and had a flavor profile beyond the conventional use of syrup that other coffee shops use for their fall menus.

The Apple of my Eye

Apple Crisp Latte (Open Doors Coffeehouse):

“A certain less-than-stellar coffee chain decided this year not to offer an apple latte, so we decided to step in and step up to offer our customers a unique twist on a classic favorite,” said Ellis. “We use a unique flavor combination to create an apple butter taste just like granny would make in the fall.”

Apple of my Chai (Dos Gatos Coffee Bar): A rich blend of apple butter and autumnal spices crafted into a sweet syrup. You can also try it in a latte.

Cider Donut Latte (Blues Brews): Apple syrup, brown sugar and cinnamon powder that will remind you of a nice old-fashioned donut.

S’mores Cold Brew (Dos Gatos Coffee Bar): House-made smoky dark chocolate syrup in their classic cold brew, topped with marshmallow cold foam and graham cracker dust.

Toasted Marshmallow (Fearless Coffee Company): Just imagine a perfectly toasted marshmallow.

S’mores Latte (Blues Brews): It’s like a campfire in a cup, with a unique blend of marshmallow fluff, hazelnut and single-origin mocha sauce.

Want Something Really Unique?

Over the Garden Wall (Dos Gatos Coffee Bar): Straight from the garden, this latte is made with house-made syrup featuring sunflower butter, chamomile, saffron and sorghum.

Black Pepper Luna Latte (The Moon Coffee and Tea House): This is for anyone who wants a unique flavor profile. Homemade organic vanilla and black pepper syrup with homemade whipped cream, steamed milk and espresso.

Teddy Gram Latte (Blues Brews): It’s the classic childhood snack in a latte. Local honey, cinnamon dulce and cookie butter latte in a reusable honey bear bottle.

Whether you want a classic PSL or something a little more unique, there is a drink on at least one of these fall menus for you!
