Milligan students followed up Easter weekend with a busy two days on campus, with the Inaugural Buffy’s on April 18, and The Senior Banquet and That Big Party on April 19.

Both the banquet and That Big Party were held at Grace Meadows Farm, a wedding venue located in Jonesborough, a 25-minute ride from campus.

The banquet started at 6:30 p.m. Senior Class President Hannah Nelson began the ceremony by introducing the banquet’s keynote speaker, Campus Minister Rich Aubrey. Senior Elise Greene proceeded with a prayer before the dinner. After dinner, senior Pablo Rivas introduced SGA president Chase McGlamery, who also delivered a speech. The banquet concluded around7:30pm, with That Big Party beginning shortly after in the venue’s ballroom.

In total, approximately 170 seniors were registered for the banquet with a total of 280-290 students attending That Big Party. Senior Ethan Pfister enjoyed the festivities,

“I thought it was an incredibly fun banquet and party,” he said., “Especially after this semester where we have had to deal with tremendous loss, I believe that it was necessary for the student body to have a reason to just celebrate and have fun.”

Student Government Association President Chase McGlamery believed the night was a huge success as well

“The banquet and That Big Party turned out to be big successes,” he said.“We had the highest senior and student attendance in recent years, it turned out to be much better than last year’s in terms of space, food, etc.”
